How this all works
So you are ready to get started, GREAT! This is the first step towards building your online empire and I am extremely excited to be a part of it. First you are going to have to get hosting. I always sugest host gator as I have used them for 8 years now. I have had one issue the entire time and it was resolved within 2 hours.
After you purchase your hosting and domain (don’t worry I have a walkthrough for this) you will send me the login information that the hosting company sends to you.
Once you have sent the information I will work my magic! I almost always complete this within 24 hours, but sometimes if i get really backed up I take slightly longer (like 48 hours instead).
What you get when I install WordPress for you
Not only do I install WordPress for you but I also configure it with everything you are going to need for your online adventure! I install a theme of your choice (must be free or paid for you ahead of time by you). I also install a couple plugins I feel are absolutely necessary for getting started. Here is a list of all the things I do for you:
- Install the latest version of WordPress
- Configure WordPress to have pretty links (http://yourdomain.com/your-post-name instead of the wordpress default of http://yourdomain.com/post.php?42344, this is very important for SEO)
- Set WordPress to allow search engines to index your site
- Delete some of the junk WordPress throws in there
- Install some of the most powerful plugins to get you started
- Google Analytics
- Google XML sitemap builder
- All in one SEO by yoast
- DiggDigg social share bar
With all of this stuff done for you, you can save time and get started right away on your new blog. While these plugins are a great start they are not the only ones available. the great thing about Wordpress is how expandable it is.
Just to recap, here are the steps:

- Follow instructions to purchase web hosting service
- Send me information so I can work my magic
- Receive your fully setup blog within 24 hours
- Change your password for security reasons (I will give you instructions to do this)
- Start blogging!
